| Contract Lecturers CommitteeMembers:
There shall be a standing committee of the Association called the Contract Lecturers Committee. Purpose:To ensure that the interests of Contract Lecturers are presented to the Association membership. Directives:To advise the Executive Committee, other LUFA officers, representatives and committees, as requested, on matters of importance to the Contractl Lecturer membership. To maintain liaison with relevant groups elsewhere. To ensure communication each way between the Association and Contract Lecturer membership. Limitations:No action of the committee shall take effect until ratified by the Executive Committee, except for such issues where the power to act has been delegated to the committee by the Executive Committee or by the general membership. Reporting:To report on the activities of the committee at each general meeting and at other meetings as required; to present a written report to members at the Annual General Meeting and at other times as required. Meetings:The time, place and frequency of meetings shall be determined by the committee. Composition:Eight Contractl Lecturers who are members of the Association under Article 4.3. Term of Office:Three members elected each year for staggered two-year terms. Selection:Elected at the Annual General meeting. Only Contract Lecturers who are members under Article 4.3 are eligible to vote in elections to this committee. Vacancies occurring on the committee before the Annual General Meeting shall be filled by a Contract Lecturer member elected by the remaining members of the committee, subject to ratification by the Contractl Lecturer membership at the next general meeting. Chair:The committee appoints its own chair. |
